With  Timeline Ads , Twitter is finally launching into the programmatic advertising market, following in the footsteps of the Google Display Network and the Facebook Audience Network. For the first time,  Twitter ads  will be displayed on third-party sites, via tweets embedded in Twitter feeds.

What are Twitter Timeline Ads and how do they work?

The  Timeline Ads  leverage the presence of  Twitter feeds on third party sites , that is, the pages included a timeline of Twitter on their websites. Until now, these feeds simply showed the tweets corresponding to the account in question, but without showing ads.
